{ ANIME: Rurouni Kenshin }November 05, 2009 03:09am

るろうに剣心
(Rurōni Kenshin)
Action, romance, and historical intrigue help make Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin, the tale of a wandering swordsman set against the backdrop of the Meiji Restoration, one of the most popular Shonen Jump titles among fans to date. Himura Kenshin, once an assassin (or hitokiri) of ferocious power, now fights to protect the honor of those in need.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I don't know why all of a sudden I remember this anime. =,=
I browse youtube and watch some amv's of the episodes and omg~!! so nostalgic!
Oh well~ here it goes..
This are my thoughts/opinion about the anime Rurouni Kenshin also called as Samurai X.
One of the reason why I love this anime was because of the songs! XD
I mentioned this in my previous blog, about anime ost's. Rurouni Kenshin ost's are one of the great songs in the anime history.... well that is my opinion. =D
I have never heard of such a cool anime having upbeat songs before.
Even now - all of Rurouni Kenshin ost's are in my ipod. haha!
The art and animation was amazing. I love the way their eyes was drawn.
Good story and the fighthing = 5 stars!
One thing I hate about the story was the ending... well.. the ova ending anyways.
I was disappointed when I watched the last ova. Samurai X: Reflexion.
I was like...
"wtf?!" o.O
"hoho! No they didn't!"
"Why did he die?! and why?!"
I can't express how much I hate the OVA.
I cried while I was watching it. T_T
The ending in the manga is way different than the ova.
To make it short. ova = sad. manga = happy.
If I have to choose which one I prefer... ofcourse the happy ending.
But really.. the ova really hit me.
I was inlove with the series then all of a sudden they made a very sad ending to it.
Do I regret watching the ova? No. I kinda liked the ova ending too.. it's more realistic in a way...
But still... I hate it! >.<"
Haha! I'm crazy! =D
The anime has 95 episodes, but it doesn't manage to cover everything from the 28 ch manga volumes.
Action, Comedy, Drama, Romance, History are all clearly expressed. The OVAs also known as Samurai X, are highly regarded as one of the best anime OVAs of all time.
If you're interested, I suggest to watch the anime/ova and read the manga too.
Rurouni Kenshin is a good series.. and I mean really good.. I believe it's been 9 years since I last watched this, and I still think about it once in awhile... (still makes me mad!) now --- Don't you think that's a good anime? =D

{ Manga I'm currently reading!! }August 26, 2009 03:04am
I love reading manga.
I'm more into shoujo, romance, smutty, comedy, school life, drama & sometimes one shot mangas. XD
currently reading manga;

She had always hated the fact that her younger brother had been cuter than her. Now, he's at her school, dressed as a girl and as a popular model for female clothing. Although it's not unknown that he is not a girl, all the boys like him. Thus, she is always rejected by her crushes. They're brother and sister but is there something deeper going on? Her younger brother has always been cute, and now he's, even at school, dressed as a girl and a popular female model, but he's been keeping a secret: he loves his blood-unrelated older sister!

Tsubaki is a girl who loves making her younger sister's hair pretty every morning, but she doesn't think that kind of style suits herself! The day of her High School Beginning Ceremony, after she failed in being the top student (who usually makes the ceremony speech), she finds herself sitting next to the actual top student of the first years, the worst rude guy ever, Kyouta. She ends up cutting his hair on purpose because of the bad things he says to her. Kyouta demands that Tsubaki pay him back with her body, but Tsubaki fixes his hair instead - making it even shorter! After that, Kyouta unexpectedly kisses Tsubaki and swears that he'll take all her firsts.
The start of high school life. To the girls, that also meant the start of their love lives. For brand new first year student, Takahashi Nanami (Nana for short), it was no different... She happens to end up in the same class as the incredibly popular Yano Motoharu, who rumors say that two thirds of all the girls are guaranteed to fall in love with. But will that hold true for Nana, who says that if she had to choose between like or dislike, she'd say she dislikes him!?

Sawako Kuronuma, called Sadako by her classmates for her resemblance to the character from Ring, has always been feared and misunderstood because of her appearance. There are rumors that Sawako can see ghosts and curse people. But when her idol, popular boy Kazehaya, begins talking with her, everything changes. She finds herself in a new world, trying to make friends and talking to different people and she can't thank Kazehaya enough for giving her these opportunities.

Aki has always liked her basketball club friend, Mase. However, she can’t seem to gather her courage to confess to him. On the day when she finally decides to tell him, she is confessed to by a guy from a different Junior High!!
A horrible accident follows and Aki finds herself not being able to choose between the two – Mase, whom she truly loves or Koichi, whom she’ll always feel indebted to…

Yee Su-yoon is a high school student who has everything going for him – top of his class, top fighter and a Barbie-like girl friend named Kang Ha-eun. But why does he mistreat his girl friend and seem to always protect a girl named Chae Shin-hee?

When the hot-tempered Han Hye Won accidently insults the handsome jjang of Han Hwa Go, Sun Woo Bin decides to pay her a visit... with his entire motorcycle gang, ready to see some blood. So how does that lead up to a kiss and the infamous captain begging for a date? Do you want to try?

Training, studying and even becoming the first female student council president of the school, Misaki has gained a reputation among the male students body as an uptight boy-hating dictator and as a shining hope for the teachers and fellow female students. However, despite her tough-as-nails appearance, she secretly works part-time at a maid cafe in order to support her family. Unfortunately, her secret is soon revealed when the somewhat impassive Usui Takumi, a popular boy at school, nonchalantly discovers her in a maid uniform after school.

Yuuki's earliest memory is being saved from a scary vampire, who wanted to eat her, by another vampire named Kaname Kuran.
After ten years, Yuuki was adopted by the headmaster of Cross Academy. She and Zero Kiryuu are chosen to be the Guardians who maintain balance and safety between the Day class (humans) and the Night class (vampires). Though the humans and vampires seems to co-exist peacefully there are still some in the dark who are against with this.
Most girls are crazy about jewelry, but not Anise Yamamoto. Well, at least not since her father gave her a rose choker as a child. He claimed it would be a protective amulet which would safeguard her from harm; however, if she ever took it off (a feat easier said than done!), she would be afflicted by a mysterious “punishment”. Not like it matters to her though, since the attention it attracts around school from faculty and students alike isn’t something she’s particularly fond of.
Kyoko Mogami lived solely for her childhood friend Shoutaro "Sho" Fuwa. She follows Sho to Tokyo so that he may realize his dream of becoming a famous singer. But when his dream is realized, Kyoko accidentally learns the truth behind his actions of bringing her with him: he was using her as a maid to clean up his apartment. Shocked and enraged, Kyoko vows revenge against him by beating him at showbiz.

Haruhi is a poor tomboyish student at a school for the ultra-wealthy, able to attend because of a scholarship, and unable to even afford a uniform. One day, she stumbles across the decidedly peculiar but very popular Ouran Host Club. She tries to leave, but accidentally breaks a vase, and unable to pay for it, she's told that she'll have to stay and do odd jobs. That is, until they decide she would be more valuable as a club member.
Not realizing she's female due to her appearance, they fix her up and give her a male uniform...

15 years ago Vivi, the demon, decided to leave the demon realm and come to the human world. There he found an abandoned baby and on a whim decided to keep it. Since then he lives together with Hana...but having a 14 year-old girl around you, is it really that simple?
Bokura ga Ita, Skip Beat, Ouran High School Host Club & Vampire Knight was turned into anime.
Bokura ga Ita - I'm currently watching the anime but I don't know if I'm gonna continue watching it.. I heard it was a sad ending.. If you've seen the anime, and really like it, you can read the second season in the manga. The second season starts on chapter 32 (volume 9). I think I'm gonna stop reading it.. alot of people said it's gonna end sooo bad.. so I'm like, if the anime is sad.. and the manga's ending is worst... why continue it? I'm just gonna get pissed off and end up crying!
Skip Beat! I haven't watch the anime. I guess I'm contented reading the manga version.
OHSHC was pretty popular anime. I really recommend both anime & manga.
Vampire Knight - I say the manga is better. the anime version was ok... but I still prefer the manga. It has much more action, detailed and in the manga, yuki and kaname kissed!
So yeah~ I'm really into manga. :P

{ Anime: Rukia (Bleach) }June 11, 2009 12:14am

| Species | Soul Reaper |
|---|---|
| Date of birth | January 14[3] |
| Occupation | Soul Reaper in the 13th Division |
| Known relatives | Hisana Kuchiki (sister, deceased), Byakuya Kuchiki (brother-in-law, adoptive brother) |
| Zanpakutō | Sode no Shirayuki |
Short and petite, she is among one of the shortest characters in Bleach (especially for her physical "age") She has pale skin and dark hair, she somehow manages to always keep a stray bang in between her eyes. She has a purplish eye color which at times looks as if they have some dark-blue in them.
Her attitude towards Ichigo varies throughout the series. At times, she is a bickering adversary, and at other times, she worries about him. Most of their scenes together involve yelling and making faces at each other like bickering siblings. Despite these quarrels, the two have a deep understanding of each other.
Rukia also seems to befriend males easier than she does to females and probably enjoys their company more, as she hardly ever goes to Shinigami Women's Association meetings and seems to be around Ichigo and Renji the most.
Shikai: Its Shikai command is "Dance" (舞え, mae). Rukia holds her zanpakutō out in front of her and turns it in a circle counter-clockwise. While she is turning it The blade, hilt and crossguard turn completely white.
Some no mai, Tsukishiro (初の舞・月白, First Dance, White Moon): Rukia calls out the name of the dance while holding her zanpakutō upside down. The blade glows and then she makes a slashing motion when her target is in position.
Tsugi no mai, Hakuren (次の舞・白漣, Next Dance, White Ripple): Rukia calls out the name of the dance, and punctures the ground once creating a large ice circle similar to the first dance, then she punctures the ground in front of her four times in a semi circle.
San no mai, Shirafune (参の舞・白刀, Third Dance, White Sword): Rukia calls out the name of the dance, which allows her to reforge her zanpakutō with ice particles if it is broken, piercing through objects in its path. After piercing its target, it continues to freeze any surrounding objects, including the battlefield.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like her character in BLEACH.
she's not you're typical heroine
which is why I like her. lol~ very unique.
It's been awhile since I watched this anime.
I guess I have been busy with work and ToP. lol
But I go here randomc.animeblogger.net/
